Justin D. Hilliard was born in Fort Worth, Texas. He's been making films since the age of ten years old. Justin attended the University of Texas at Arlington and received his BFA in Film - Cum Laude in 2004. While attending UTA, Justin formed a collaboration with digital artist/cinematographer, Ryan Hartsell.
Immediately after graduating, Justin & Ryan (Striped Socks Productions) decided to make their first feature film, 'Wednesday'. Wednesday was ambitiously photographed across the world (Dallas, Texas to London, England). Post-production took place in Spain, England, Los Angeles, and Dallas, TX.
Justin lives in Dallas, writing and prepping Striped Socks Productions' next projects. In May 2007, Justin married his longtime girlfriend & collaborator, Arianne Martin. In the summer of 2008, Striped Socks Productions,(now with producer Arianne Martin on the team), began production on the comedy/drama,'The Other Side of Paradise'.
'The Other Side of Paradise' had its World Premiere at the 2009 AFI Dallas International Film Festival and is still enjoying the festival circuit. Striped Socks Productions is prepping their follow-up to TOSOP, which will beginning shooting this winter.
